Videos on economists

Research shows that students’ academic interest and performance in economics increase when they perceive that they belong in the field and that economics can be used to examine issues important to them (Bayer, Bhanot, and Lozano 2019, Porter and Serra 2019, Bayer, Bhanot, Bronchetti, and O’Connell 2020). It is important to counter messages of exclusion and irrelevance sent by textbooks and advisers (e.g., Stevenson and Zlotnick 2018, Feiner 1993, Francis, de Oliveira, and Dimmitt 2019).
